A STRETCH of the busy Childers Road will be closed for five days at the end of this month to the beginning of February to facilitate the re-instatement of railway network in the area.
That’s according to Limerick City and County Council, who confirmed that the Childers Road (R-509) will be closed from its junction with Hyde Road to its junction with John Carew Park form 7pm on Friday January 31 to 7pm on Tuesday February 4.
The closure is to facilitate the re-instatement of rail networks.
Diversions will be in place along the Hyde and Roxboro roads and provisions will be made for local access for residents if Janesboro and Rathbane and emergency services where possible, the local authority confirmed.
