A HOME in the Annacotty area was broken into earlier this month, with a number of handbags stolen, Gardaí have said.
Officers at Castleconnell Garda Station are investigating the incident, which happened on Friday January 10 between 10am and 3.30pm.
The homeowner returned to the house in the mid-afternoon to find that their home had been ransacked and a number of handbags had been taken.
The burglars gained entry to the home by damaging the lock on the front door, a trend that Limerick Gardaí say is on the rise.
