GARDAÍ are appealing for witnesses to an assault in Abbeyfeale which led to a young man being hospitalised.
On the night of Friday January 3 into the morning of January 4 at around 2am on Church Street in Abbeyfeale, a young man in his 30s was struck in the face by another man, which lead him to fall to the ground and banging his head.
An ambulance was called and he was removed to University Hospital Limerick.
Gardaí investigating the assault have appealed to anyone who may have heard or seen something in the Church Street area at the time to contact Gardaí in Newcastle West Garda Station are on 069 20 650.
