A GROUP of Fine Gael members from Limerick were treated to a visit to the European Parliament in Brussels last month.
Councillors Tom Ruddle, Sarah Kiely, and Dan McSweeney, as well as FG local elections candidate Michael MacCurtain, were welcomed to the EU Parliament by Ireland South MEP Seán Kelly.
“Our councillors and LEA candidates play a vital role in their communities, and this trip is an excellent opportunity to showcase how the European Union directly impacts and benefits Ireland,” Mr Kelly said.
The delegation participated in discussions with EU officials, commissioners, and MEPs on topics such as agriculture, fisheries, energy transition, and EU funding.
