LIMERICK charity Novas was honoured at the recent National Volunteer Awards.

The Limerick homelessness charity took home the Outstanding Large Group award.

Every day, more than 50 Novas volunteers take to the streets to provide support for homeless people, including hot meals for those who need them, and company for service users.

Paul Moriarty, Limerick Volunteer Centre manager, said that Novas “is the perfect example of so many volunteers across the country and we are lucky to have people like them in Limerick.
