SEVEN Limerick players have been named on the GAA.ie Hurling Team of the Last 25 Years, as announced over the festive period.
The starting quartet is that of Effin’s Nickie Quaid, Seán Finn (Bruff), inspirational captain Declan Hannon of Adare, and Cian Lynch, Patrickswell.
Three players, namely Barry Nash (South Liberties), Gearóid Hegarty of St Patrick’s, and the ‘Well’s Aaron Gillane were chosen among the reserves.
