TWO weeks out from the start of the National Football League, Limerick entertain Laois in an exhibition fixture at Mick Neville Park, Rathkeale on Sunday next (1pm).
It’s another opportunity for Jimmy Lee’s side to familiarise themselves with a plethora of new rule changes which come into effect this season.
At the weekend, Limerick and Clare served-up a lively contest in Askeaton.
Among those to impress were regulars James Naughton, Peter Nash, Tommy Child and Cillian Fahy, while among the quality newcomers were goalkeeper Jeffrey Alfred (Adare), Darren O’Doherty (Newcastle West), Adam Shanagher (Rathkeale), Seán Clancy (Galtee Gaels) and Tadgh and Daragh Ó Siochrú, Tadgh and Dara, brothers of Monaleen.
Available following injury are Newcastle West’s Iain Corbett, Barry Coleman of Rathkeale and Tony McCarthy (Kildimo/Pallaskenry).
Limerick open their Division Four League campaign away to Longford on January 26.
