THE MEMORY of a Limerick engineer was honoured last month when a €5,000 donation was made in his name to the CoderDojo, a volunteer organisation that empowers young people to learn coding, create apps, and develop games.
Daniel Kelly passed away last Christmas peacefully at University Hospital Limerick.
He was remembered by his colleagues at electronics manufacturer Onsemi as an excellent engineer with a genuine curiosity for numbering and coding.
In his younger years, Daniel was also an accomplished musician and played in several local Limerick bands.
