Village Yoga will launch a new website this month – Village Wellness.
Under the guidance of Sinéad Garry, a former barrister turned Personal Trainer & Health Coach, Village Wellness is offering a variety of programs designed to help people get stronger and live with energy and vitality. Sinead brings a spiritual focus to the fitness industry. She believes that while it is important to feel healthy and strong in our physical bodies, we should prioritise our emotional and spiritual health. ‘Life is a gift and is to be enjoyed’ she says.
Village Wellness run popular Osteo Fit & Strong classes which are designed to support bone and joint health with resistance training. These sessions emphasise building strength over focusing on weight loss. These boutique resistance training classes are offered in a calm mindful environment. The classes incorporate pilates and yoga which help with core strength and mobility. Designed for anyone with Osteoporosis, the classes are also ideal for anyone wanting to learn to lift weights but outside of the gym environment.
In addition to weekly classes, Village Wellness will host monthly Nutrition Events in 2025 which are designed to help support training. ‘Nutrition and training must go hand in hand’ says Sinead, who holds a Diploma in Nutrition. ‘It is not wise to start restricting calories at the same time as beginning a new exercise regime because we need to have enough energy to support the training’. With guidance on caloric intake and understanding macros with easy to follow nutritious recipes, these events help participants understand how to fuel their bodies to support their fitness goals.
The nutrition classes are open to anyone to join. The next Nutrition event date is January 25th. At the event you will learn simple ways to calculate calories and macros and get recipes and you can try an Osteo class.
You can register your interest by sending an email to [email protected] or book now on their website.
