GARDAÍ have appealed to the public for information on a blue hatchback car following a shooting in the Ballinacurra Weston area of Limerick this past Monday (January 6).
Limerick Gardaí responded to an incident this past Monday evening of a firearm being discharged on Hyde Avenue in Limerick City. The shooting incident took place at around 6.30pm.
It is understood that no injuries have been reported from the incident so far, however a Garda forensic team carried out a technical examination of the scene.
This Wednesday, Gardaí issued an appeal to the public for any information on a “blue hatchback car” which was seen travelling in the area at the time.
A statement from An Garda Síochána revealed that the blue hatchback car was spotted travelling towards Ashbourne Avenue at the time of the shooting.
Gardaí appealed to anyone who may have information on the car, or indeed mobile phone or dashcam footage from the area around the time of the shooting, to make themselves known to Roxboro Road Garda Station on 061 214340, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station.
