THE Thomond Archaeological and Historical and Society recently held its AGM in Mary Immaculate College, where a new committee for the year was elected.
The large attendance saw a good send off for outgoing society president Mary Kenehan, who was praised for her stewardship of the society over the past three years.
The new president, Dr Charlotte Murphy, gave an enthusiastic address to the new committee and society members, looking forward to a wide range of lectures and outings for 2025.
John Elliott was named deputy president; Caroline Graham, secretary; Liam O’Brien, treasurer; Dr Paul O’Brien, editor; and Dr Derek Mulcahy, PRO.
