RIVERSIDE walk enthusiasts have been warned that a stretch of the Three Bridges walk in Limerick City will be closed to the public to facilitate works to enhance the waterfront area.
That’s according to organisers of the King’s Island Flood Relief Scheme, who said the stretch of walkway from the corner of the courthouse at Merchant’s Quay up to the corner of King John’s Castle is to be closed for the foreseeable future.
Works ongoing will “featuring a stunning new look that will greatly enhance the Limerick riverfront” a representative of the scheme said, thanking river walkers for their “patience and cooperation as this vital project continues”.
It is understood the works will feature new glassed railings, as pictured above.
