A MAN has been charged and will appear before a special sitting of Limerick District Court this evening, Christmas Eve, in connection with a fatal hit and run incident.
Gardaí confirmed this evening that they had charged a man, described as being in his 40s, in connection with the fatal hit and run incident that killed young mother of one Marguerita Sheridan.
Ms Sheridan was killed this past Saturday when she was struck by a silver Ford Transit van that collided with a gate she was standing by on Bank Place in Rathkeale.
A vigil was held in her honour this evening in the County Limerick town with hundreds turning out to pay their respects.
The man, charged in connection with her tragic death, will appear before a sitting of the Limerick District Court this evening around 7pm.
