IN Sunday’s lone Men’s Division One fixture, Tipp Talons threatened to end Limerick Celtics’ 10-game unbeaten league run.

It was only two converted free-throws by Abdul Wurie in the closing seconds that saw the visitors to Scoil Ruáin avoid a major upset, as they prevailed 97-95.

Elsewhere, Maigh Cuilinn carded a 95-85 road win over Limerick Sport Eagles in UL Arena.
