LIMERICK Racecourse is gearing up for the pinnacle of their racing year next week with what promises to be a four-day festival of racing and entertainment from December 26 to 29, in association with Main Sponsor Mr Binman.

The Patrickswell track has been innovative this year in bringing on board Big Boss events to work alongside the team at Limerick particularly on St Stephens day to deliver a proper day out experience with some great live entertainment acts during and after racing.

A bus service will operate from and to the city centre before and after racing on all four days and the organisers have advised attendees to come early and enjoy the catering facilities which will be open well in advance of the first race each day, according to Racecourse CEO Michael Lynch.

“The hard working a dedicated team here at Limerick Racecourse look forward to welcoming the expected 16,000 attendees over the four days,” continued Michael. “There is still some hospitality space available in our Greenmount Suite and boxes and these can be booked online as can general admission tickets and other packages at limerickraces.ie.”

On Ladies’ Day, December 27, the Holman Lee Agency will host a fashion show and be judges for the highly anticipated Best Dressed Ladies Prize of 1500 euros sponsored by Canella Lane and Keanes Jewellers.

On December 28, the Grade 1 Guiness 00 Faugheen will take centre stage with a prize fund of €100,000 and the festival concludes with a fantastic days racing on December 29 with fun activities for families.
