Limerick invited to take chilly dip for good cause this Christmas

LauraLynn are encouraging Limerick people to take part in their Dip In challenge.

PEOPLE across Limerick and beyond have been once again invited to take a freezing festive dip for a good cause this Christmas.

LauraLynn, Ireland’s Children’s Hospice, has put out the call across Limerick and the rest of the country for brave people to take part in the annual ‘Dip In’ challenge to raise money for the children’s charity.

Dip in for LauraLynn takes place this December 22, and people of all ages are invited to take a cold water dip in a location of their choice.

The annual fundraiser helps to raise money to support children with life-limiting conditions and their families.

Participants who register to take part will receive a free blue Santa hat, as well as their own sponsorship page to raise funds for the charity.

Cathy White, fundraising executive with LauraLynn, said that the event is an opportunity to get together with friends old and new and raise money for a good cause.

Dip In for LauraLynn is a wonderful opportunity for people to come together, have fun, and support a cause that truly makes a difference.

“Whether you are a seasoned sea swimmer or a first-time cold dipper, we would love to see you out in your blue LauraLynn Santa hat. The funds raised will allow us to continue supporting children with palliative care needs and their families all over Ireland,” Ms White said.

Participants can register to take part in the swim on LauraLynn.ie and start collecting money for the charity.
