FINE Gael councillor Liam Galvin asked Limerick City and County Council for an update on the footpath connecting the Devon Inn Hotel in Templeglantine to the local GAA field.
He also asked the local authority at a recent Newcastle West area meeting for an update on the stacking lanes at Dore’s Cross.
He was informed that the current proposal is with Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) for approval to allow the scheme to progress to preliminary design.
The Council, Cllr Galvin was told, has been in discussions with TII’s Safety Implementation team with respect to making funding available.
