WITH a cracking combination of nine points, Gráinne McKenna and Jayne Casey led Mungret St. Paul’s to an historic All-Ireland Junior Ladies Football Championship Final win over Na Dúnaibh (Donegal) at Dublin’s Parnell Park.

McKenna knocked over five delightful points for the winners, for whom Casey landed another four, two in either half.

Other scoring contributions came from Clare O’Meara, Aoife Morrissey and Niamh O’Keeffe.

Mairead Clancy was outstanding in the number seven jersey, and richly deserved her player-of-the-match award.

As per her norm, Áine Ryan was an inspiration captain for John Horgan’s heroes.
