The visitors led 12-7 at the interval. Two tries from Brian Gleeson, both converted by Dylan Hicks as well as a penalty from Hicks looked like the home side were going to take the spoils, until the awarding of the penalty try to Con.

Elsewhere, a late converted try saw St. Mary’s College go top after they defeated Young Munster at Templeville Road. The home side led 19-17 at halftime but two tries from Manuel Covella and one each by Shane O’Leary and Oisin Pepper saw the visitors take two points from this encounter.
