Castle concert for David Gray

DAVID Gray returns to Limerick as part of his Past and Present Tour, playing Live At The Castle, King John’s Castle on Thursday May 1.

Tickets go on sale Friday December 13 at 10am from www.dolans.ie and www.ticketmaster.ie

David Gray’s journey is truly one of a kind. After nearly a decade of persistence and dedication, his breakthrough arrived in spectacular fashion, with White Ladder becoming one of the best-selling Irish albums in recent history and cementing his status as a major arena-filling artist.

Over time, Gray’s songwriting has grown richer, showcasing his gift for capturing specific emotions, creating vivid atmospheres, and evoking a strong sense of place. His critically acclaimed 2021 album, Skellig, highlighted his connection to the tradition of poetic singer-songwriters, steering clear of the stereotypical lovesick acoustic artist. Influential figures like Ed Sheeran, Adele, and Hozier have recognised his impact, yet Gray continues to carve his own distinct artistic path.

Commenting on the announcement, Mick Dolan told Limerick Post, “Delighted to welcome David Gray back to Limerick. David has a long standing history in Limerick performing in Dolans Warehouse on multiple occasions during his White Ladder tour as well as a massive show in Thomond Park as special guest to Bob Dylan.”
