HUMAN nutrition and dietetics MA students at the University of Limerick recent held their innovative New Food Products Showcase, where the crafty learners displayed their creativity and expertise in developing novel and nutritious products.
The event showcased a range of healthy products aimed at niche market areas.
“Each product was specifically designed to address various clinical conditions, such as options for obese diabetics, lactose-intolerant individuals, and vegan diets,” said course coordinator and associate Eibhlís O’Connor.
Attendees had the opportunity to sample unique items, including nutrient-rich snacks, plant-based meal alternatives, and ready-meals tailored for busy lifestyles.
