AS EVER, there is plenty of local interest in the latest edition of A Season of Sundays, the definitive visual record of the GAA year as captured by the award-winning photographers of Sportsfile.

The 28th edition was launched by Association President Jarlath Burns at Croke Park.

Burns is featured embracing his son Jarly Óg following Armagh’s All-Ireland Senior Football Final win over Galway.

“A GAA calendar year would not be complete without the publication of another offering of the eagerly awaited pictorial journey that is A Season of Sundays and I am glad to acknowledge this latest instalment,” Burns said.

“The breadth and quality of the imagery captured is – as ever – of the highest standard and bookends another incredible year in the life of the Association.

“I look forward to studying the book in the embers of the year before it all starts again.”

Sportsfile owner Ray McManus said: “As the GAA season fades, A Season of Sundays captures the year’s most unforgettable moments and gives fans the chance to relive the excitement. Even in our digital age, a single image can speak a thousand words, and A Season of Sundays proves that photography still holds the power to move us.”

There’s one truly beautiful picture within of Limerick’s Ellie Woulfe in a warm embrace with her beloved Lexi following the League Final loss to Carlow back in April at St Brendan’s Park, Birr.

The publication was made possible by the support of Forvis Mazars, the nationwide accounting, tax and consulting firm which has a presence in Limerick on Henry Street.
