A MAN has been charged in relation to a violent incident in Rathkeale this past weekend, in which another man was allegedly attacked with a hurley.
Robert Quilligan (18), with an address at Powerhouse Cross in Charleville, County Cork, was brought before Limerick District Court on Wednesday of this week (December 4).
Mr Quilligan is facing charges of violent disorder and production of an article at Lowe Main Street Rathkeale on Sunday (December 1).
Judge Patricia Harney heard that Mr Quilligan was availing of bail on the charges and had €500 in bail cash to hand into the court.
His solicitor said Mr Quilligan had agreed to the terms that he sign on at the Garda station in Newcastle West three days a week and be of good behaviour.
Judge Harney remanded him to appear again in Newcastle West court on January 28.
