Kwaidan – Encounters with Lafcadio Hearn’ will open at the Hunt Museum on December 3.

It is an exhibition of works by 20 Irish and 20 Japanese artists.

The works are inspired by Kwaidan, a 1904 book of ghost stories by Irish-Greek writer Lafcadio Hearn, also known as Koizumi Yakumo.

The works reflect Hearn’s ghostly tales along with a range of artistic techniques and perspectives transforming eerie stories into compelling visual pieces.
