Limerick third level students encouraged to enter EirGrid competition

Limerick students are encouraged to enter the CleanerGrid competition.

THE CALL has gone out to Limerick third level students from EirGrid, who plans to help foster innovation through a competition that will encourage students to showcase their skills in solving important energy challenges with a particular focus on sustainability and efficiency.

The competition is open to all students below a PhD level from all disciplines at any third level institution in Ireland.

This year’s competition asks students to “present your vision of what the growing energy sector will need to look like in 2050 to have sustainably achieved net-zero emissions”.

Students can take part by signing up at EirGrid.ie/CleanerGrid as part of a team of up to six members.
