I am a healthcare worker and I have been a councillor for the last five years in Limerick City West. I live and work close to UHL, which has the most chronic overcrowding in the country and I hear every day from staff and patients that they feel abandoned by the government.
I believe that healthcare should be accessible, reliable, community-based, and free at the point of access. The only way to achieve this is to fully implement SlainteCare and to prioritise retention of our superb experienced staff in the public sector.
We need a healthcare worker with experience working in services on the ground in Limerick to be a strong voice for healthcare for Limerick in the Dáil.
I want Limerick people to have an honest voice in Dáil Éireann that they can trust. A voice that they know will speak up for the experience of people across all communities and particularly for Limerick women, as there is no woman representing Limerick in the Dail right now. I am never afraid to ask hard questions and I will not let you down.
Together, we can build a bright future for Limerick.
