Christmas at Limerick Milk Market

Santa will visit Limerick Milk Market on Saturday, December 14

LIMERICK Milk Market has announced the return of its festive Christmas at the Milk Market series for 2024, featuring an array of daytime markets, special events, and seasonal treats.

The festivities begin on Sunday, December 1, with the largest Christmas Art Fair of the year. On Sunday, December 8, the Christmas Vinyl Record & CD Fair makes a return, and Sunday, December 15 will showcase a Christmas Antique, Vintage, and Craft Fair.

Each Friday and Sunday, visitors can enjoy the Xmas Open Air Café, featuring stalls like Flying Cheese Farm Shop & Grill, Bon Appetit Creperie, Wild Fig Bakery, Harpers Coffee, and more, from 11am to 3pm.

Two special events complement the series: the Santa Paws Christmas Craft Fair on Sunday, November 24 (in aid of Deel Animal Rescue) and the Christmas Big Band Event on Thursday, December 5, in partnership with Dolans. The latter is a ticketed evening market with music, local traders, and festive cheer (tickets at Dolans.ie).

Friday, December 6, welcomes the Christmas TY Student Enterprise Market in collaboration with the Local Enterprise Office and WizzKids.ie, showcasing student innovation projects alongside craft and food vendors.

Every Saturday in December, the Famous Food Market adds a Christmas twist, offering festive favourites like artisan hampers, minced pies, Christmas hams, puddings, and seasonal vegetables. Visitors are encouraged to shop early for their holiday essentials.

Santa himself will visit on Saturday, December 14, with photo opportunities supporting Limerick Suicide Watch.

The series culminates in a five-day Christmas run starting Friday, December 20, with a fundraiser for Limerick Suicide Watch. The final Famous Food Market on Tuesday, December 24 (8am to 2pm) brings the festivities to a close.

Throughout the season, guests can enjoy the Christmas Canopy of Lights, delicious local food and drinks, heated seating, and a special Santa’s Post Box for letters to the North Pole.
