IN A welcome announcement, Treaty United has confirmed that Trade Electric Group (TEG) will continue as the front of shirt sponsors the men’s team.

TEG were formed in 1971 by Paul Costello, whose son Fergal is now its Managing Director, and specialise in lighting and electrical equipment. The original store in Lower Gerald Griffin Street is still in operation with additional stores in Newcastle West and Nenagh.

Explained Fergal Costello: “We were initially the back of jersey sponsor and got a good reaction locally. That has increased 10-fold since we became front of jersey sponsor and now people of Limerick associate us with Senior soccer in Limerick which is great. I would encourage other businesses to come on board.’’

Club CEO Ciara McCormack added: “We are really appreciative as a club to have a local success story like TEG be our front of jersey sponsor again. We have high hopes to take the senior men back into the Premier Division and can only do it with the support of local businesses, like Fergal and TEG have shown.

She concluded: “We’re looking forward to building a successful club in Limerick and representing TEG well for years to come.”
