LIMERICK City and County Council has opened public submissions on new draft bye-laws over the control of stationless on-street shared e-scooter hire services.
The proposed bye-laws would create a structure for the local authority to manage, regulate, and control the operation of e-scooter hire services within the Metropolitan District, including the issuing of operators’ licences.
A copy of the bye-laws is available for inspection at the Council offices in Merchant’s Quay and the Dooradoyle Road in Limerick City until December 20.
Submissions on the proposed by-laws can be made in writing to the Council or by email to [email protected] before January 17, 2025.
