FRAUDULENT tradesmen threatened a woman after they power-washed her driveway without her consent and proceeded to demand payment.
The group insisted upon power-washing the woman’s driveway, despite her protests.
Investigating Gardaí do not have a description of the fake tradesmen and are asking members of the public with any information on the incident to contact Henry Street Garda Station 061 212 400.
Garda advice to homeowners is not to engage with cold callers who turn up at the doorstep and to contact the nearest Garda station if a trader offering services seems suspicious.
If householders do need tradesmen to do work on their property, Gardaí say to ensure their reputability by doing some research beforehand.
