Limerick’s Blindboy Boatclub presented with honorary fellowship

LIMERICK writer, filmmaker, and podcaster Blindboy Boatclub was presented with an Honorary Fellow Award from IADT at its recent autumn conferring ceremonies.

The college said Blindboy was chosen for the award “in recognition of his achievements and his impact and engagement with diverse audiences on topics spanning mental health, creativity, politics, mythology, culture, politics, and history”.

“He has had an immensely positive influence on education and social engagement through his work. His ability to communicate complex ideas around creativity, psychology, and critical thinking help to encourage transformation through social change,” an IADT spokesperson said.
