Investigations into stolen wood chipper ongoing in Limerick

A HOMEOWNER was left ashen-faced when a wood chipper weighing almost a tonne was stolen from outside their private residence in Limerick.

According to Sergeant Ber Leetch, Crime Prevention Officer at Henry Street Garda Station, the heavy machine was stolen from outside a home somewhere in Limerick in the late hours of October 4 or early hours of October 5.

“The wood chipper was on hire from a company. The gate to the house was locked with a padlock but criminals broke through. It is a 750kg Timberwolf wood chipper that is orange in colour,” Sergeant Leetch explained.

The Crime Prevention Officer urged anyone who is approached with an offer to buy. a Timberwolf wood chipper to contact their local Garda station.
