IT is crucial that women from rural Ireland have a strong representative in the next Dáil, a Fine Gael general election candidate has said.
That’s according to Cllr Noreen Stokes, who said that she is the first female Fine Gael general election candidate in the Limerick County Dáil constituency.
“It is crucial that the next government places significant focus on continuing (its) investment and makes progress on rural housing policy, scaling up town and village renewal, supporting farm incomes, and providing important grants for community organisations,” Cllr Stokes said.
“Allowing people to build homes and futures in rural Ireland is key to ensuring our communities are sustained for generations to come.“
