AS General Election 2024 draws ever closer, People Before Profit has announced local activist Ruairí Fahy to stand for the party in the Limerick City constituency.
The PBP candidate took home almost 700 votes in the recent mayoral election, where he was eliminated second.
In his general election campaign, Mr Fahy pledged what he describes as a real alternative to a Limerick City that has been “neglected by decades of Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael rule”.
Mr Fahy’s campaign will focus on “tackling living costs exceeding people’s incomes, unaffordable and inaccessible childcare, the dangerous situation the hospital, and the ongoing housing crisis”.
