SOLICITOR and environmentalist Michelle Hayes has announced that she is standing in the upcoming general election in the Limerick City constituency.
She is a practicing solicitor with Hayes Solicitors in the city as well as the co-founder and president of Environmental Trust Ireland.
She sees a new public hospital and the reopening of emergency departments at St Johns, Nenagh, and Ennis hospitals as a vital need.
She explained that other issues she would see addressed in the Dáil include the ongoing housing crisis, water abstraction from the River Shannon for Dublin, crime, abolishing the USC and increasing inheritance tax thresholds, as well as providing VAT relief for businesses.
