Limerick environmentalists encouraged to enter Young Environmentalist Awards

Young environmentalists from across Limerick are encouraged to enter the awards.

BUDDING environmentalists are invited to enter the Young Environmentalist Awards (YEA) 2025, organised by environmental youth movement ECO-UNESCO.

Last year’s winners from Kerry took the esteemed title with their environmental report condemning ‘pair trawling’ (when two boats are positioned with a net to maximise fishing efficiency).

Entries to YEA 2025 are now open to any group of young people aged 10-18 years, registering at yea.ie before November 30.

“We have had some excellent entries from young people in Limerick in the past and I can’t wait to see what actions they take this year”, ECO-UNESCO National Director Elaine Nevin said.
