New French ambassador makes first stop in Limerick

French Ambassador Céline Place paid a visit to Limerick.

THE NEW French Ambassador to Ireland, Céline Place, chose Limerick City as the first stop on her first official trip to the west of the country.

On November 5, Ambassador Place visited the Department of Foreign Affairs on Henry Street, followed by a visit to Alliance Française Limerick, the oldest Alliance Française in Ireland.

She also visited the LCETB hospitality campus for an eight-course lunch prepared by campus students, remarking that she was “really impressed by the skills displayed by all the trainees and the dedication of their teachers”.

She also met with members of Limerick Chamber and visited Mayor John Moran in City Hall.
