A COLLECTION of essays on the rich history of the Thomond area has been published by the Thomond Archaeological and Historical Society.
Released at an official launch on October 30 at LPYMA on O’Connell Street in Limerick City hosted by retired Bishop of Killalla Dr John Flemming, the historical read contains a volume of essays on the city and county.
The book, titled Limestone and River, is dedicated to former Mary Immaculate College Head of History, Liam Irwin, who was a leading member of the society for 40 years.
It is edited by Catherine Swift, Brian Hodkinson, and Tom Donovan.
