STAFF members from McDonald’s Crescent Shopping Centre recently became Limerick’s cleanup-crew after carrying out a cleaning spree around the Baggot Estate in Ballinacurra.
The McDonalds team were taking part in the ‘100 Parks in 100 Days’ campaign, which began this July with the aim of tackling litter across Ireland by organising clean-ups in parks and other natural areas.
Franchisee of McDonald’s Crescent Shopping Centre, Aaron Byrne, expressed a commitment to reducing litter through community action alongside 19 other franchisees across McDonald’s 95 restaurants in Ireland.
Throughout Ireland and the United Kingdom, McDonald’s staff collect a whopping 27 tonnes of litter every year on their thrice daily litter patrols.
