OVER 3,800 new graduates were conferred by the Technological University of the Shannon (TUS) during the recent autumn conferring ceremonies.
This year’s graduates were described as a “milestone cohort” as they were the first to have been under the TUS name for almost the entirety of their education.
TUS president Professor Vincent Cunnane told the graduates that “half a decade since the first TU emerged, and three years since TUS was founded, students just like you, who have spent all or most of your time in a TU, are starting to graduate, confident and skilled, into a dynamic landscape with a thriving jobs market”.
Students were conferred with degrees such as fine art and media, software and computer engineering, and pharmaceutical sciences.
