Further funding required to deliver Castletroy dog park, councillors told

Limerick Labour Party councillor Elena Secas.

‘HOW much is that dog park in Castletroy?’ was the song being sung by councillors at a recent Metropolitan area meeting of Limerick City and County Council.

And the response was certainly not music to their ears.

Labour Party councillor Elena Secas asked about the funding currently in place and additional funding required for the dog park, only to be told that the estimated cost for the park is €25,000.

“The Council has €8,000 and will require approximately a further €17,000 to deliver the project,” Senior Engineer Aidan Finn told the Labour councillor.
