The Shinty internationals of Ahane

TALENTED Ahane brothers Dan and Tom Morrissey featured with an Ireland selection that overcame Scotland, 3-16 to 5-7, after extra time in an epic Hurling/Shinty International at Cusack Park, Ennis.

Ireland had trailed at the death only for local hero Aidan McCarthy to hit the equalising point and force additional time.

The home side were dominant in those extra 20 minutes.

Outstanding all through was Eoin Cody, who bagged an excellent 3-2.
