Limerick students to represent Ireland at Junk Kouture world finals

The Limerick design will now go on to represent Ireland.

COLÁISTE Nano Nagle Limerick students are top of the junk heap, having been chosen has as one of 10 teams announced to represent Ireland at the World Final of Junk Couture. 

‘I’m Your Venus’ by Ameliia Karashtefan, Viktoriia Romanchenko, and Natalie Quinn Sheehan is made from old tents, floor installation, and bottle caps.

The team will be competing for the title of Dublin City Designer of the Year at the World Final, where they’ll take on design champs from London, Milan, Paris, New York, and Dubai in a bid to snag the crown of World Designer of the Year.

Junk Kouture is open to 12 to 19-year-olds and challenges young people to design, upcycle, and create high end Kouture from recycled junk.
