Castle gig for The Coronas

The Coronas

THE Coronas will return to Limerick’s historic King John’s Castle on Sunday, May 4, 2025, to close out Riverfest weekend. Known as one of Ireland’s hardest-working bands, The Coronas will bring their energetic live performance to the festival, offering fans an exceptional experience in one of Ireland’s most iconic settings.
For over two decades, The Coronas have crafted a stellar career, gaining acclaim through their musical versatility and dedicated following that spans continents. From their early days in school to worldwide stages, the band’s journey has been marked by three consecutive #1 albums on the Irish charts, sold-out shows across the globe, and performances for two U.S. Presidents. Their annual Christmas concerts in Dublin have become a cherished tradition, a testament to the bond between the band and their fans.
With eight studio albums to their name—Heroes or Ghosts (2007), Tony Was an Ex-Con (2009), Closer to You (2011), The Long Way (2014), Trust the Wire (2017), True Love Waits (2020), Time Stopped (2022) and Thoughts & Observations (2024) – The Coronas have navigated both independent and major label releases, consistently hitting #1 with their last three projects under their own label, SoFarSoGood Records. From indie darlings to chart-toppers, the band has stayed true to their roots while expanding their sound and influence.
Mick Dolan shared his excitement at the concert announcement, saying, “The Riverfest weekend is one of the best weekends in the calendar. Moncrieff last year was one of the highlights of the summer. The Coronas are an amazing live band, and we are delighted to have them back.”
Tickets for The Coronas’ Riverfest concert will go on sale Friday, November 1, at 10am through dolans.ie and ticketmaster.ie.
