MIC pays tribute to late Dr Tony Langlois on his passing

MARY Immaculate College (MIC) has paid tribute to lecturer Dr Tony Langlois, who passed away suddenly on October 13.

Dr Langlois, who joined MIC as a lecturer in Media and Communications in 2001, was instrumental in the development of student community radio station Wired FM.

He was also involved in the co-ordination and direction of the national research centre for audio studies, ARC.

Leading the many heartfelt tributes to Dr Langlois, Dr Rosemary Day, head of department in MIC Media and Communications, said: “We are devastated by the loss of our dear colleague and best friend, Dr Tony Langlois.

“Tony’s life ended suddenly and leaves his wife, children, grandchildren and many, many friends from all walks of life stunned at his loss.”
