THE LIMERICK Historical Society will return for its autumn-winter lecture season next week with a talk on some of the city’s most notable merchant houses and the merchants who resided in them.

Society co-founder Tony Brown will host and deliver the lecture, which takes place from 8pm on October 22 in a new venue at the Redemptorist hall adjacent to the Redemptorist church on Mount St Alphonusus, South Circular Road, in the city.

The lecture, free for all to attend, will explore merchant homes and people of note who lived in them.
