New Limerick art exhibition aims to explore neurodiversity

Shannan's exhibition will open on October 17.

SET to be unveiled this October 17 in the Spacecraft Project Space,  a new exhibition, titled ‘Ovum Opus’,  invites art lovers to reflect on individual truths and personal experiences.

Created by Shannan Curtis, the exhibition — a collection of paintings, textiles, rugs, and sculptures — reflect on a journey of self advocacy through the lens of neurodiversity as well as physical and mental illness.

The show has been in development since October 2023, and will later this month be open to the public (running from October 17 to 23).

The artist says she hopes the collection will inspire others to foster strength in their own identities and challenge societal norms surrounding disability.
