OVER 40 per cent of Limerick workers didn’t take their full holiday entitlement last year, new figures from FRS Recruitment show.

46 per cent of workers across the county didn’t use up their full holiday entitlements last year, above the national average of 42 per cent.

Up to 28 per cent of workers across Limerick said that they will lose their annual leave if not taken, according to FRS Recruitment’s Annual Leave Report.

Lynne McCormack, FRS Recruitment general manager, said “holidays and annual leave are such an important part of professional life for employees in Limerick and their employers.

“Yet before now there haven’t been many statistics available showing how it is used and the various policies associated with annual leave in the workplace.”
