ATLANTIC Aviation Group has announced a new member to its board of directors.
The Shannon-based company announced that Hugh Flynn is to join the board, complementing his work with ASL Aviation Holdings where he is director and holds several other board and committee roles.
Mr Flynn is also the chairman of the Board of Directors at Formidion Aviation Capital.
During his tenure as Group Chief Executive of ASL from 2005 to July 2020, Mr Flynn spearheaded several significant transactions, including key airline acquisitions. Under his leadership, ASL achieved an annual turnover of $1billion dollars and expanded its global fleet to over 160 aircraft.
An experienced pilot and flying instructor, Mr Flynn has dual Irish and South African citizenship, starting his career in 1984 with Safair.
Over the past three decades, he held different CEO roles in the US, South Africa, and UK, solidifying his reputation as a senior aviation business leader.
Mr Flynn said that he was inspired by the ambition shown by Atlantic Aviation Group and was excited to join the board.
