The ‘Well win big in the minors

Patrickswell bettered Adare in a showstopping final.

FOLLOWING a cracking Minor Hurling Final, Patrickswell bettered Adare following a penalty shoot-out in Fedamore.

The ‘Well, who trailed by four points after the opening quarter, were 0-10 to 0-9 ahead at the interval.

Inside the closing stages, Adare were to the front but their neighbours fought back courageously to finish level, 0-17 apiece, after normal-time.

In additional time, the sides traded five points apiece.

Patrickswell’s goalkeeper Johnny Murray was the hero of the penalty drama, saving three times.  His namesake and team captain, John Murray, along with Eoin Hennessy and Ryan Foley, all goaled.
